Folded Bowl, Grey Stripe

A shallow rectangular bowl with slightly lifted corners, made from coloured clays layered and laminated by hand. The alternating grey and white bands, and the fine dark lines running through them, are not surface decoration — the pattern goes all the way through the wall of the piece and appears on the underside as well.

Each bowl is built individually from a hand-assembled clay block, then pressed and shaped. No two are identical: band widths, line spacing and the exact tone of the grey shift slightly from piece to piece.

Suitable for side dishes, snacks, fruit, or as a catch-all.

Only a small number exist. Each comes from its own block, so the banding shifts slightly from bowl to bowl — close enough to belong together, no two identical.
