Cylindrical Vase, Grey Stripe

A straight-sided vase built from a single slab of layered clay, wrapped and joined by hand. The grey and white bands run horizontally around the form, the fine dark lines drifting through them — visible on the inside wall as well, because the pattern is the material rather than a coating.

The vertical seam is left as it is. It's where the slab closed, and it marks the piece as built rather than thrown.
