Striped Plate, Black & White

Hundreds of tiny scalloped lines built into the block in black and white, with small flecks of blue scattered through. From a distance it reads almost like woven fabric; up close, every row is slightly irregular, drawn by hand rather than repeated by a stamp.

Only a small number exist. Each comes from its own block, so the banding shifts slightly from plate to plate — close enough to belong together, no two identical.
